Try before you pay

Every account starts with a 5-day free trial of Pro — no credit card required. The trial is the best way to confirm that Recompete fits your workflow before you are billed. One trial is permitted per email address.

How billing works

Pro is billed monthly at the rate published on our pricing page and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Pro access continues through the end of the current billing period and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not, by itself, generate a refund of the current period.

When we will refund you

We will issue a refund in the following situations:

  • Billing error. You were charged in error, charged twice for the same period, or charged after a confirmed cancellation.
  • Service failure. The Pro features were materially unavailable for an extended portion of your paid period due to a problem on our side.
  • Within 14 days of your first paid charge. If Recompete does not meet your needs and you contact us within 14 days of your first paid charge, we will refund that charge as a courtesy. (Beyond the first paid period, charges are non-refundable — cancel to stop future renewals.)

What is not refundable

  • Partial-month usage after the first 14 days — we do not pro-rate.
  • Charges for past billing periods that were used and not previously disputed.
  • Fees paid to third parties (for example, foreign-exchange or card-issuer fees).

How to request a refund

Email support@recompete.io from the address associated with your account. Include your Paddle order or subscription ID if you have it. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — in most cases we can resolve the issue faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended.
